About

Please join us for our pension scams webinar on the 31 March from 2.30 to 3.35pm.

Pension scammers wreck lives. *Since 2017 over £30 million has been lost to pension scams but scams often go unreported, the true figure of what is lost is likely to be much higher. Anyone can become a victim. Once the money’s gone, it’s often gone for good.

The impacts of COVID-19 have created economic uncertainty which may make savers more at risk than ever before. That’s why we’re calling on the pensions industry to pledge to combat pension scams.

We want trustees, providers and administrators to pledge to raise awareness of the risks, educate themselves about evolving scammers tactics and protect scheme members by following the principles of the Pension Scams Industry Group (PSIG) Code of Good Practice. To pledge or find out more about the pledge click here.

At this webinar you’ll hear about the pledge and how you can support it in more detail as well as hearing from the following industry experts:

  • The impact of pension scams – Charlotte Jackson, Money and Pension Service
  • The role of industry, the pension scams landscape – Margaret Snowdown, Pension Scams Industry Group
  • A case study on best practice from the industry (TBC)

By attending our pension scams webinar, you can find out more about the pledge and our expectations for the industry, you’ll also get the opportunity to ask questions to our panel of experts.
